still here

i feel like i've fallen off the face of the earth or akin elementary has swallowed me alive. and it will probably be that way for a while. but we have had a few events that are definitely blog-worthy...

happy birthday to my mom :)
we went to babe's tonight and had a great dinner. she was also a good sport with the chicken hat they made her wear. we love you!
last night was meet the teacher and thankfully i was so preoccupied with the stress of meeting my own parents that i wasn't able to dwell on the fact that i now have 2 school age kids. abby will be right across the hall from me with mrs. paredes.she is sooooo excited! and i am too. i'm so lucky to be with them all day. jake gets to go up the ramp this year which is a pretty big deal. he will be with mrs. herzog and with his best buddy jack. he's a little nervous, but then again that's jake.

on a side note, izzy is growing and getting brave now. at first she wouldn't even try to go up the stairs. then it was up one and she needed help to get down. the other day she was trying to chase bob and made it halfway up and then froze.still working on the house training but she's a really good dog.

well, who knows when i'll make it on here again. until then...
