dancing machine
This weekend Abby had her dance recital. I had such a good time this year because a lot of my friends had kids in the recital too - it was nice to get to see all of them shine! Now for the pictures...warning!!! Major cuteness alert!

my one laugh today
I have a special friend in my class. We'll call him H. H needs to sit with his desk away from the groups and near me for far too many reasons to list now. Plus, this is a happy post. ;) Anyway, my boys have been holy terrors lately and it became necessary today to have 6 of them sitting alone as well. When I finished arranging the desks and they were back in their seats, H turned toward the boys and said "Welcome to my world, boys." I had to turn around for a minute to compose myself. That H, he helps me keep Beringer is business, but God love him he is funny and cute.

a brag and a sneek peek
brag first:
abby was awarded "scrappy" the bear (the equivalent to the game ball) at her last t-ball game for making several great stops and hits. i think she's got a future in sports :)

and now for a sneak peek at my beautiful girl in her ballet costume...recital is this saturday.
i could eat her with a spoon!

big news and small stuff
Abby lost her first tooth today!!!
The girl just turned 5 in February. That's just not right. It's also not right that I'm about to have a 2nd grader, a kindergartener and a 3 year old. Too much.
On to the small stuff (although some of it isn't small to me)...
*pray that the Lord opens the door for Andy to the job he is meant to have. I think we are handling it fairly well, and we are beyond thankful for our amazing families but a job would be an answered prayer and a huge burden lifted from many lives.
*pray for us as we continue to figure out the best solution for Jake's behavior.
*I am in the midst of trying to regulate my thyroid and I am hoping for the right balance of meds soon. I am determined to lose the weight I need to so that I can be healthy and happy again. It won't be easy with our on the go life right now but I have reached rock bottom.
*I have decided that I am going to move from First grade to Kindergarten next year. I am very excited about it...I think it will be exactly the change I need to rediscover my love of teaching (or it will reinforce my drinking habits - one or the other). I am leaving an amazing team that I love dearly. Three of us have been together for 8 years and Jen joined us for 7 of those years so it will be a difficult transition for me. But I know it's the right choice for me. Pray for me when those babies show up on the first day next year!
Ok...enough for tonight.

happy easter!
i hope your easter was as simple and meaningful as ours. we heard an incredible message at church, ate a delicious lunch at nana and poppy's with all of our family, the kids had a great egg hunt and we relaxed together watching the masters. i hope that as my crazy week begins i can hang on to that peacefulness...

wylie crew - the kids
We had a cookout at the Nalley's on Saturday after all the soccer was played and the kids were napped...good food, good drinks, good laughs. A perfect evening.
